The European MA in Migration, Mental Health and Social Care
is a course organised by The Tizard Centre for those who work in services for multi-ethnic populations and are concerned about the delivery of effective mental health and/or social care services to black, minority ethnic, and/or refugee communities.
ECRE is an umbrella organisation of 73 refugee-assisting agencies in 30 countries working towards fair and humane policies for the treatment of asylum seekers and refugees.
ELENA is a new International Course on the application of Art. 1C and Art. 1F of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees
17-19 January 2003, Grand Park , Korsør, Denmark
The course will discuss the interpretation and application of the exclusion and cessation clauses contained in the refugee definition and will focus on complex legal and procedural issues arising out of the increasing trends within Europe to use Article 1 F for general purposes of national security.

Postgraduate Teaching
The nine-month Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Forced Migration is grounded in a multidisciplinary approach that includes the perspectives of anthropology, law, politics and international relations. The aim of the course is to help students understand the complex and varied nature of forced migration and its centrality to global processes of political, social and economic change, as well as the needs and aspirations of forced migrants themselves.
Summer School
The RSC's annual International Summer School is a three-week course which provides a broad perspective on the issues of foced migration and humanitarian assistance. It combines lecturing and active learning methods to allow experienced practitioners to study, learn, reflect and share their experience with others in a setting removed from the day-to-day pressures of work.
Short Courses
The RSC also offers weekend courses in various aspects of forced migration, including refugee and asylum law, given by leading experts in their fields.
Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants is an independent national voluntary organisation, campaigning for justice and combating racism in immigration and asylum law and policy. JCWI provides free advice and casework, training courses, and a range of publications.
